Brief Job Overview The Senior Supply Chain Resilience Advisor is a two-year fixed term part-time role , which will lead USPs efforts to shape public and regulatory policy to strengthen the supply chain of quality medicines. This role will be responsible for fostering strong, collaborative relationships with policy-level decision makers at the US agency level as well as other policy making entities both in the US and abroad. Moreover, this role will also collaborate with staff to help inform supply chain product development and strategy by gathering and sharing critical information on the needs and priorities of policy makers, influencers, and a range of decision makers. At times, this role will also represent USP in policy level forums related to the supply chain. How will YOU create impact here at USP? As part of our mission to advance scientific rigor and public health standards, you will play a vital role in increasing global access to high-quality medicines through public standards and related programs. USP prioritizes scientific integrity, regulatory excellence, and evidence-based decision-making to ensure health systems worldwide can rely on strong, tested, and globally relevant quality standards. Additionally, USPs People and Culture division, in partnership with the Equity Office, invests in leadership and workforce development to equip all employees with the skills to create high-performing, inclusive teams. This includes training in equitable management practices and tools to promote engaged, collaborative, and results-driven work environments. The Senior Supply Chain Resilience Advisor has the following responsibilities: Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with colleagues in Global External Affairs; Global Health and Manufacturing Services; and Digital and Innovation divisions to identify, map, and nurture relationships with leading influencers and decision makers on supply chain resilience topics relevant to USPs supply chain portfolio. Policy Shaping and Investment Decision Influence: Partner with others in the Supply Chain Center of Excellence to build cohesive plans to shape policy in the US (and potentially multi-lateral and international forums) along with investment decisions to optimize and scale the USP supply chain resilience portfolio. Market Shaping: Support development and execution of stakeholder engagement strategy designed to accelerate growth for USPs existing resiliency solutions. Representation: In collaboration with colleagues, represent USP as a supply chain expert at relevant forums related to supply chain matters. Also, support representation of a range of USP leaders at forums where they are engaged in supply chain discussions. Thought Leadership: Partner with Global Communications and the Supply Chain Center of Excellence to develop a thought leadership program that communicates USP supply chain solutions and the problems and challenges they address. Who is USP Looking For? The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 13-15 years of combined experience in policy roles, regulatory affairs, relevant management consulting, or related fields, with 12 years at a senior level. Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain resilience or medicine security. Proven ability to synthesize complex policy frameworks and drive action. Experience engaging with U.S. regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders on pharmaceutical supply chain issues. Strong public speaking and writing skills, with experience representing organizations in high-stakes settings. Demonstrated experience working with senior policy makers on supply chain topics in a manner that fosters long-term engagement in a bi-partisan manner. Additional Desired Preferences Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a relevant field. Combination of 12 years of commercial pharmaceutical industry and government/regulatory experience. Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks affecting pharmaceutical supply chains. Supervisory Responsibilities None, this is an individual contributor role. Compensation Base Salary Range: USD $[154,000-204,000] annually. Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidates skill set, experience, qualifications, equity, and other job-related reasons.
