Futrend Technology has an opening for a Clinical Informatics Support Analyst to join our team of professionals in support of one of our customers in a Clinical Health Care environment.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Support Analyst will be responsible for the support of clinical information systems for the environment including the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems.

This person acts as a liaison between IT and Patient Care, for the daily operational issues of the clinical systems. This person provides knowledge to clinical staff regarding Information System's clinical applications; assist clinical staff in identifying cause and solution to computer issues and collaborate in the development and distribution of information to clinical staff.



Responsibilities:

- Lab configuration:

- Work within the EHR and interface tools to facilitate changes as dictated by end users, protocols and system needs.

- Monitoring and updating the ticket system for my tickets and communicating changes.



- Performing lab back end clean up:

- Long term projects requiring access in the system to make changes to update build to more current representation.

- Order Set Build and Configuration:

- Protocol Order Set build: move order set changes through the approval system and when final approval is met

- load and unload in all three environments, the new updated sets

- Managing Order set build tickets: Stay on top of the opening and closing of all tickets related to protocol order set build

- Troubleshoot issues related to orders, order sets, order set forms, MLMs, Object Plus code, SQL Stored Procedures



- End user management:

- Train end users how to use the RNA application to put in order set changes and requests

- Provide cross-training for other members of the IT staff with regard to clinical information systems.

- Follow up on the administrative part of the request process with end users.



- Works with patient care departments in identifying enhancement and/or change requests for applications.

- Works with Technical staff to determine the feasibility of requests

- Provides clinical expertise in the evaluation of computer programs and applications

- Supports the implementation and maintenance of clinical information applications.

- Maintains daily functions of clinical applications.

- Participates in testing of systems or applications before implementation to Follow department configuration management process, including the use of Serena TeamTrack to track changes to the system, and building changes into a Development, Test and Production environment.

- Create documentation on the required configuration for installation, implementation, development, and use of the developed and configured items

- Configure Diagnosis and Problem Lists at the patient and visit level utilizing IMO within Health Issues or an appropriate component

- Follow department configuration management process, including the use of Serena Business Manager to track changes to the system, and building changes into a Development, Test and Production environment

- Attend meetings with the Allscripts vendor as necessary for Enterprise Scheduling integration





Position Requirements:

- 3+ years of clinical working experience is a must

- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated with excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

- Knowledge of Electronica Health Record (EHR) system, such as Epic, Veradigm (Allscripts), Cerner; Surgical Information System (SIS), Lab Information System (LIS) is required

- Proven willingness and ability to learn new systems, processes and procedures

- Excellent customer service and communication skills supporting providers

- Strong configuration skills

- Experience in an Clinical Informatics related role is strongly preferred

- Hospital and/or Research experience is a plus

- Surgical or operating room or Interventional Radiology knowledge/experience is a plus

- Specimen collection bar coding experience is a plus

- Pharmacy experience is a plus

Education

- B. S in Science related field is required. Nurse degree is strongly preferred
