KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIESTheVaccine, Immunity and Cancer Directorate is recruiting for a Project Manager IIto support project management and programmatic operations for the directorate.Assist with overall coordination of Program/Project level functions including project progress, monitoring schedules and risks, and budgetAssist in the management of research subcontracts as necessaryEnsure Program compliance with all policies and procedures related to project management, contract relations, purchasing, and fiscal planningCoordinate and administer pricing and procurement requestsAssist in the preparation of program reports, not limited to monthly quarterly reports, semi-annual and annual reportsInterface with government officials, both scientific and administrative, at varying levels of leadership and responsibility to coordinate logistical support for assigned projects/programsProvide meeting management support to Programs, including meeting coordination and scheduling, drafting agendas, meeting notes/minutes, and recording and monitoring action items for various project committees, stakeholders, and other groups as neededAssist in the development of oral presentations and meetingsCoordinate internal and external stakeholders for intellectual property requirements, CRADAs, MTAs, collaboration agreements, subcontracts Assist in the review and approval subcontractor invoicesWork as part of a team to manage subcontracts to assure project execution within established timelinesManage project risk by proactively anticipating issues and develops contingency plans and solutionsAssist with budget planning and forecastingAssist with administrative functions including supply ordering, coordinating work orders, and equipment inventory and maintenance Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or Program Director

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPossession of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalencyIn addition to the education requirement, a minimum of two (2) years of related experience managing research, experimental planning, proposal writing and project managementProficient in Word, Excel, PPTAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCandidateswith these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:Familiarity with immunology, immune assays, diagnostics, vaccines and clinical researchDemonstrated experience working with government contracts, particularly Task Orders, NIH, NCI, or NIAIDProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationProficient with Microsoft Project or other project management software
