Hall, Harris Hall, and Tubman House at Towson University
Compensation: $16.00-$17.00 per hour. Position works up to 28-hours
per week. FLSA Status: Student Non-Exempt Positions Available :
Multiple Company Information: Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM),
with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student
housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of
housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated
with a university. Summary: A Student Maintenance Assistant is
responsible for assisting with the preventative maintenance tasks
in the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: General
cleaning of the grounds. Replacing air filters. Replacing smoke
detector and thermostat batteries. Replacing light bulbs.
Distributing items to apartments. Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma. Current
student at Towson University Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and
navigate up and down stairs. Demonstrate proficiency in verbal
communication. Possess strong customer service skills. Must have
troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. The work environment
characteristics described here are representative of those an
employee encounters while performing the essential functions of
this job. The work environment is mid-to-high-paced, and the noise
level is usually moderate. Per company policy and the State of
Maryland Department of Labor, all employees who work 5 (five) or
more hours in a single day are provided a 30-minute unpaid lunch
break. The physical demands described here are representative of
