Volt is Immediately Hiring for – Data Management - Technical Lead ? Washington, DC. As a Data Management - Technical Lead– You will: Must Have : Active Public Trust Requirements (Must Haves) : Job Summary: Customer is looking for a Data Management Technical Lead to support a large program. Who responsible for enforcing federal antitrust laws and promoting fair competition in the marketplace. The Data Management Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, administration, and optimization of our data management environment. This includes managing Azure cloud services, SQL Server databases, Apache Tomcat applications, and leveraging cutting-edge analytics tools like Power BI and Data Bricks. You will provide technical leadership to data engineering teams, optimize data pipelines, and ensure that systems meet performance, reliability, and security standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the configuration, deployment, and administration of Azure cloud resources and services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Manage Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database for data storage and analysis needs. Oversee Azure Active Directory and other Azure services to manage user access, security, and compliance. Implement automation and scripting solutions for Azure resource management using tools like Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Azure Automation. Optimize database performance, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Perform database migrations, version upgrades, and ensure consistent database health across environments. Administer and troubleshoot Apache Tomcat servers used for web application deployments and integration with data management systems. Monitor and optimize Tomcat server performance, ensuring reliable and efficient deployment of applications and services. Use R Studio to design, implement, and maintain data analysis and modeling solutions that support decision-making across business units. Optimize R scripts and packages for large-scale data processing and analysis. Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing workflows. Optimize data engineering tasks within Databricks, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Develop and manage interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, transforming raw data into actionable insights. Guide teams in creating automated reporting solutions and data visualization best practices. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior data engineers, database administrators, and data analysts. Provide technical recommendations and solutions to support data-driven business processes, helping teams leverage data effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or SME role. Expertise in Azure Administration and management, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Storage. Deep understanding of SQL Server/Database Administration, including performance tuning, backup strategies, and migrations. Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat for web application and service management. Proficiency with R Studio for data analysis, modeling, and statistical computations. Experience working with Azure Databricks for data engineering and big data processing. Advanced knowledge of Power BI for report creation, data visualization, and dashboard management. Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor staff, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Understanding of data governance, security protocols, and regulatory compliance standards related to data management. Desirable Skills: Experience with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment of data management solutions. Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI. Certifications in Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Databricks, or Power BI are a plus. Experience with Machine Learning or AI applications in data management (e.g., using R or Databricks). This is a Full Time ,Contract opportunity. Location : Washington, DC (Onsite) Contract : 6 Month (Possibly Conversion after 6 month ) Pay Rate : $90-94 Per hour.
