Job Description:
Overview The Total Rewards Administrator supports the day-to-day
operations of the employee benefits and compensation program,
servicing both union and non-union employee groups across the U.S.
and Canada. This role plays a key part in maintaining benefit
systems and processes, monitoring communications, and supporting a
diverse and highly mobile field workforce. The Total Rewards
Administrator ensures accuracy and compliance in health and welfare
benefits, 401(k), short-term disability, compensation and related
programs, and provides high-level administrative and technical
support to the Total Rewards Team. Responsibilities Key
Responsibilities Monitor and manage the general benefits and
compensation email inbox, ensuring timely and professional
responses and follow-up. Assisting in employee benefit programs
including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term
disability, long-term disability, and 401(k), in both union and
non-union environments. Support benefit enrollment, changes,
terminations, and life events through the HRIS system (ADP) where
needed. Assist with processing benefit-related transactions and
reconciling data between carriers, internal systems, and payroll.
Maintain employee records related to benefits and compensation in a
highly organized and confidential manner. Provide administrative
support during open enrollment and year-end processes, including
material preparation, audits, and data uploads. Provide
administrative support during annual increase and annual bonus
processes. Work closely with HR Business Partners, payroll, and
external vendors to resolve benefit and compensation related
issues. Assist in coordinating communications and educating
employees on plan options and policies. Maintain a strong
understanding of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant regulations.
Provide support across a large field-based workforce with varying
eligibility and enrollment timelines. Contribute to the continuous
improvement of processes and employee experience. Canadian benefits
experience or willingness to develop cross-border benefits
knowledge is a strong asset. Qualifications Required Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field preferred. 2 years of experience
in benefits/compensation administration or HR operations;
construction or field-based workforce exposure preferred. Strong
working knowledge of group health plans, 401(k) retirement plans,
and disability programs. Familiarity with union benefits
administration and collective bargaining agreement provisions
preferred. Experience working in ADP Workforce Now or a similar
HRIS system required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation). Exceptional
attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-starter with a
high level of initiative and the ability to work independently and
in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication
skills. Canadian benefits knowledge is a plus. Work Environment
This role is based in the corporate office in Hanover, MD. Some
limited travel may be required for training, meetings, or benefits
events. Additional Information Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 Actual
salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant
internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job,
geographical location or other factors permitted by law Benefits:
