Physical Therapist Assistant. You will work with patients
recovering from orthopedic conditions in an outpatient setting,
helping them improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain function
under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Apply today

Qualifications /n - Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an
accredited educational program. - Active Maryland PTA license
required to start the assignment. - BLS certification from AHA or
ARC may be required. - One year of outpatient orthopedic experience
required (client specific). - Demonstrated experience implementing
therapeutic interventions including posture training,
strengthening, endurance/cardiac training, balance and coordination
exercises, joint mobility, pain relief techniques, and functional
skills training. - Experience training patients in assistive device
use and safe gait techniques, including proper guarding and
orthotic/prosthetic instruction. - Familiarity with commonly used
modalities in outpatient care, such as hot/cold packs, ultrasound,
TENS, paraffin, fluidotherapy, and therapeutic pool modalities
preferred. - Ability to document patient progress and provide
patient and family education consistent with clinic policies. -
Adherence to safety, infection control, and equipment handling
procedures. /n /n Assignment Details /n - Facility Type: Outpatient
clinic. - Schedule: Monday and Thursday 10:30 AM–7:00 PM; Tuesday,
Wednesday, Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. - Shift Pattern: 5x8. -
Duration: 13 week assignment. - Positions Available: 1. /n /n

approximately 25 minutes to downtown Alexandria and 30–40 minutes

small-boat access on the Potomac, supporting an active, suburban
lifestyle with convenient access to major metropolitan amenities.

Therapist. Assist with therapeutic interventions such as strength,

instruct in prescribed equipment use. Operate and instruct in
modalities appropriate to outpatient orthopedic care. Monitor
patient response and document progress, education, and
participation. Maintain professional relationships with patients
and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in team conferences
and quality improvement activities. Adhere to clinic policies,
infection control practices, and safety procedures. Perform other
