Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a committed and compassionate Clinical
Nurse I (RN) for our Labor & Delivery department. As part of our
dedicated team at our not-for-profit healthcare organization, you
will be pivotal in providing exceptional care to our community in
the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. This role entails direct patient
care and support during one of the most significant events in our
patients' lives: the birth of a child. You will work closely with
obstetricians, midwives, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the
best outcomes for both mother and child. Monitor patient status and
respond to any complications during labor and delivery Educate and
support patients and families throughout the birthing process
Administer medications and perform medical interventions as
prescribed Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement
patient care plans Document all patient care and procedures in
accordance with compliance and regulatory standards Proficient in
fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation Strong interpersonal
and communication skills Ability to handle high-stress, emotionally
charged situations Knowledge of birthing and recovery processes and
medical terminology Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of Maryland or eligible compact state license BLS
Certification ACLS Certification preferred
