MedStar Health seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Sr MRI Technologist to join our dedicated medical imaging team. In this key role, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners, ensuring excellent image quality, and providing compassionate patient care. This position requires a deep understanding of MRI procedures and safety protocols, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare staff to ensure a seamless workflow and optimal patient experience. Operate MRI equipment to perform scans according to specified protocols. Ensure the safety of patients during MRI procedures by adhering to strict safety guidelines. Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate images for quality and diagnostic purposes. Maintain records and manage data entry related to MRI procedures. Assist with scheduling to ensure efficient workflow and minimal patient wait times. Provide training and mentorship to junior MRI technologists. Proficiency with MRI operational protocols and safety standards Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple responsibilities Technical proficiency with medical software and record keeping Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State licensure as a certifiable technologist Additional certification in MRI technology is preferred
