Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Group Behavior
Consultant (BC) - Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) works under the
supervision of the IBHS Program Director and the BCBA Clinical
Director. This role is responsible for maintaining the clinical
integrity of the group ABA program for children ages 3-6. The Group
BC-ABA models interventions, provides feedback to BHTs during
sessions, and oversees consultation, assessment, observation,
treatment planning, data collection, and analysis of target
behaviors. Each child receives a comprehensive assessment,
including Skill-Based Competency Assessments, followed by the
development and implementation of an Individualized Treatment Plan
(ITP) created with the child and family, emphasizing strengths and
identifying areas for growth. The Group BC-ABA also supervises
BHT-ABAs on their caseload and participates in all assigned
meetings and supervisions. Duties/Responsibilities: Actively
collaborates with parents, school teams and other community
stakeholders. Attends two scheduled supervisions with BCBA Clinical
Director each month. Brings on new members in a timely manner and
ensures ethical and effective treatment delivery. Complete other
duties as assigned. Completes all necessary reports, records,
correspondence, or other written materials required by program
regulations or the Agency. Completes all paperwork and
documentation in accordance with established company policies and
procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated
timeframes. Completes initial training curriculum as per company
requirements and guidelines. Completes ongoing assessment of the
child using direct and indirect methods across all settings.
Coordinates clinical information/direction with other professionals
and agencies while exchanging information clearly and concisely
with the appropriate parties and concerns. Develops and updates the
Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) per agency expectations and
state/payer requirements. Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment
plans and modify them as needed. Holds transition meetings with
school districts prior to consumers reaching discharge. Implements
evidence-based ABA interventions and individualized ABA
programming. Is on site for the entirety of the group ABA weekly
sessions (6 hours a day/5 days a week) and completes direct and
non-direct activities outside of session hours when necessary.
Maintains monthly parent meetings. Plans and prepares day-to-day
activities in order to carry out session. Proactively requests
support and guidance on case concerns, clinical documentation, and
stakeholder feedback. Provide professional consultation to
necessary staff. Provides culturally aware and competent service
provision. Provides direct instruction and training to clients,
staff, and treatment team members using the least restrictive
methods. Remains updated on evidence-based behavioral practices.
Responsible for supervising the BHTs assigned to his/her caseload
as outlined in 5240.72 (individual and group supervision) Uses
Crisis Prevention Institute training to ensure fidelity. Minimum
Job Requirements: Educational Requirements: Must hold a valid
Behavior Specialist License in PA AND have one of the following: o
Certification from the BACB as a BCBA (OR) o Certification from the
BACB as a BCaBA. (OR) o Minimum one-year full-time experience
providing ABA services AND a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from an
accredited university. (OR) o Minimum one-year full-time experience
providing ABA with direct supervision under a BCBA AND a minimum of
40 hours of training related to ABA. (OR) o Have a valid
Psychologist License in PA AND a minimum of one-year full-time
experience providing ABA AND a minimum of 40 hours of training
related to ABA. Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a
team and complete assigned tasks. Analytical/problem-solving
skills. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and administrative
abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and
verbal. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge
of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Knowledge of and the ability to comply with the State Mental Health
Code. Proficient knowledge of IBHS governing regulation
requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to carry out
appropriate restraints to prevent clients from harming themselves
or others. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times with or
without assistance. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and
working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and moving.
Travel Requirements: This position requires approximately 10%
travel, primarily within Johnstown. Required Clearances and
Documentation: Must possess a valid driver's license and have
