Length: 12/3,105 Start Date: 02/10/2026 Job Description: Provides
professional nursing care based on current Ambulatory Care
standards, American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), and
Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) during the
pre-operative, post-operative, and transfer of patient care to the
receiving unit. The nursing role will focus preoperative and
pre-procedure care along with post-operative and post-procedure
care as well as other outpatient services. This includes the use of
the nursing process to provide care for a broad range of outpatient
services related to medical and oncology patients; procedure
patients, surgical patients, including but not limited to blocked
patients, emergency/inpatient add-on cases, Phase II recovery; and
gastroenterology patients. Included in this care is the use of the
nursing process through assessment of patient needs, development of
a plan to meet those needs, implementation of nursing interventions
and evaluations of the effectiveness of the nursing care, and other
treatment measures to achieve optimal patient outcomes on discharge
for the neonate through geriatric age population. Responsibilities:
Provides professional nursing care based on ASPAN and AORN
standards. Focuses on preoperative, pre-procedure, post-operative,
and post-procedure care as well as other outpatient services.
Requirements: Completion of an accredited registered nurse program
required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of
Pennsylvania. Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for
Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and
renews them every two years. MUST HAVE EPIC experience due to the
transition from Meditech to EPIC with a 5/30 go-live date. 5
