Operating Room Location: State College, PA Start Date: 01-21-2026
End Date: 04-22-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type:
Monday-Friday, rotating 8-hour day shifts: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM;
09:00 AM - 05:30 PM; 11:00 AM - 07:30 PM. Voluntary call and
weekend coverage available. Shift type: day (rotating day shifts).

Provide professional perioperative nursing care across the
continuum — pre-op, intra-op and post-op — using AORN standards
Assess patients and develop individualized plans of care that guide
safe surgical management Implement aseptic technique and maintain a
sterile field throughout procedures Operate and monitor biomedical
equipment safely and troubleshoot as needed Document patient
assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely Educate
patients and families with effective preoperative teaching and
clear instructions Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and
ancillary staff to promote seamless patient care Safeguard
specimens, cultures and foreign bodies, ensuring proper handling
and documentation Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in
the State of Pennsylvania (required) Minimum 2 years of prior
Operating Room experience (required) Current BLS (American Heart
Association Healthcare Provider) required Current ACLS (American
Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required BSN preferred —
candidates with other RN credentials will be considered and
training provided Strong verbal, written and non-verbal
communication skills and ability to work well in a team Willingness
to begin and complete the in-house 6-month Operating Room course
upon hire if applicable Education Completion of an accredited
registered nurse program required BSN preferred Knowledge & Skills
Perioperative nursing practices and AORN standards Patient
assessment and plan-of-care development Aseptic technique and
sterile field maintenance Accurate and timely clinical
documentation Familiarity with biomedical/surgical equipment
Preoperative patient teaching and education Teamwork, leadership,
and professional communication Emotional resilience and sound
