City Employment Type: Regular Position Overview: This role involves
providing direct care to patients with behavioral health needs,
adhering to the established protocols and guidelines of our
facility. Key Responsibilities: Conducts admission and shift
assessments for assigned patients, focusing on their behaviors,
ensuring accuracy and compliance with established timelines.
Employs critical thinking and judgment to evaluate patient
assessment data, promptly informing physicians of any changes in
patient conditions. Engages in the creation, review, and assessment
of multidisciplinary treatment plans in accordance with facility
policies. Records all nursing interventions and complies with
nursing standards and organizational policies. Accurately
implements and documents physician orders consistently. Monitors
patient safety and the overall environment within the unit. Acts as
a clinical resource and oversees care provided by LPNs and
technicians. Educates patients and their families based on
identified needs, documenting the education in the Electronic
Health Record. Utilizes evidence-based practices and scientific
knowledge in nursing to ensure care is tailored to the specific age
and clinical needs of patients as outlined in the department’s
Scope of Service. As a nurse at our organization, I will uphold the
professional nursing standards defined in our practice model,
guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to address the evolving
health and nursing needs of our patients. Maintains a state of
alertness and operates safely at all times. Performs additional
duties as assigned. Qualifications:Education: Must be a graduate
from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent
educational qualifications for licensing. Experience: No prior
experience is necessary. Physical Demands: Regularly communicates
verbally to convey information. Constantly stands and walks.
Frequently lifts, carries, and pushes/pulls objects weighing up to
25 lbs. Regularly sits, reaches, and engages in data entry.
Frequently uses vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20
feet or more) distances, as well as color differentiation.
Regularly utilizes smell to identify odors. Frequently listens to
receive oral communication and detect body sounds or alarms.
Occasionally lifts and moves objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
Occasionally assists in lifting or moving patients. Occasionally
bends, stoops, kneels, squats, twists, grips, and performs
repetitive movements with legs and arms. Occasionally drives.
Rarely crawls or runs. Licensure and Certifications: State of Work
