Key Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Enhance patient care and quality of life by applying medical-surgical nursing standards and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing practices. Build strong relationships and advocate for patients and their families to create personalized care plans. Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Formulate assessment and management strategies considering various dimensions of health and well-being. Demonstrate understanding of how illnesses affect patients' overall status. Exhibit leadership by collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team to assess needs and evaluate care outcomes. Engage in effective communication with patients and families to ensure culturally sensitive and ethical care. Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures. Promote a positive work environment by mentoring nursing colleagues and students. Apply evidence-based practices to ensure nursing care meets the specific needs of patients. Maintain a state of alertness and safety while performing duties. Conduct point-of-care testing as per established guidelines. Perform additional tasks as assigned. EDUCATION Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing. EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly communicate verbally to share information. Frequent standing and walking. Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry. Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances, including color differentiation. Regularly use smell to identify odors. Frequently use hearing to receive oral communication and detect alarms. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional patient handling. Occasional bending, stooping, and repetitive movements. Occasional driving. Rarely crawl or run.
