programs (EAP) Position Summary: This role involves providing
direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies,
procedures, and protocols of our organization. Key
Responsibilities: Apply medical-surgical nursing standards to
enhance patient care and quality of life by systematically
assessing the effectiveness of nursing practices. Build strong
relationships and advocate for patients and their families to
create personalized care plans. Utilize the nursing process to
formulate and execute care plans, gather assessment data, establish
nursing diagnoses, identify expected outcomes, implement
interventions, and evaluate results. Develop assessment and
management strategies considering various dimensions of human
responses to health issues. Demonstrate understanding of how
illnesses affect patients’ physical, cultural, social, and
spiritual well-being. Exhibit leadership by collaborating with
patients, families, and healthcare teams to assess needs, set
goals, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes. Engage in
effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare
providers to ensure culturally sensitive and ethical care. Educate
patients and families on health promotion and comfort measures.
Promote a positive work environment by mentoring nursing colleagues
and students. Incorporate evidence-based practices into
medical-surgical nursing to meet patients' specific needs. Maintain
a state of alertness and safety in all activities. May conduct
point-of-care testing as per established guidelines. Perform
additional duties as required. Qualifications: Must be a graduate
from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent
educational qualifications for licensing. Experience: No prior
experience is necessary. Physical Demands: Regularly communicate
verbally to convey information. Frequent standing and walking
required. Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to
50 lbs. Regularly engage in activities such as reaching, sitting,
and data entry. Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances,
as well as color differentiation. Regularly use hearing to receive
verbal communication and detect alarms. Occasional driving and
other physical activities. Licensure and Certifications Required:
