Rheumatology Physician Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens (contract/travel physician job) Specialty: Rheumatology Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania 17331 (South Central PA healthcare jobs) Start Date: January 2, 2026 End Date: April 3, 2026 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Patient Facing Hours: 36 per week Shifts per Month: 10–20 (flexible coverage options) Shift Duration: 12 hours (varied as needed) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,340–$7,870 Rheumatology Physician Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain PA license) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in rheumatology practice Excellent communication and teamwork skills Key Responsibilities for Locum Rheumatology Physician Deliver comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care, including new patient evaluations (40–60 min) and follow-up visits (20 min) Perform joint injections and other rheumatology procedures Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and provide clinical guidance Manage administrative and clinical in-basket support tasks Conduct minimal hospital consults (0–5 per month), primarily via telephone during office hours Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment Apply now to join our healthcare team in Hanover, PA and take the next step in your locum tenens rheumatology career!
