Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/14/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, days - Employment Type:Travel Job Title: Travel RN – PACU Location: Washington, DC 20037 Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week Contract duration : 13 Weeks Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $2,246.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable):$1,526.00 Per Week Position Overview :We are seeking experienced PACU/Pre-Op Travel RNs to support perioperative care at our Level I Trauma Center. Candidates will work in a high-acuity environment providing both pre-operative and post-anesthesia care. This is not a surgicenter role; critical thinking, clinical autonomy, and the ability to handle complex post-surgical recovery is essential. Key Responsibilities Monitor post-operative recovery and consciousness levels from anesthesia Record and assess patients' vital signs Administer prescribed medications for pain, nausea, and other post-op symptoms Observe for side effects from anesthesia and respond appropriately Update EMR, charting, and maintain accurate medical records Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and discharge instructions Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams Required Qualifications Active RN license (District of Columbia or compact license) Minimum 2 years recent PACU or Pre-Op RN experience OR at least 2 years ICU experience Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program Certifications:BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all Required) Preferred Qualifications : BSN Degree – Highly desired About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as aService-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified byNaVOBAand theU.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
