General Summary of Position
We are actively recruiting for an Emergency Medicine (EM) Clinical Pharmacist II to join our pharmacy team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. - Our team and department is very engaged in direct patient care, advancing pharmacy services, working collaboratively with providers and nursing, and teaching and education through precepting residents and students. - -

Daily responsibilities focus on coverage for the emergency department in facilitating code blue and stroke response and rapid sequence intubation, assisting with emergency medication access and providing recommendations to providers, and optimizing transitions of care through the Multi-Visit Patient Collaborative Committee. - -

Additional clinical activities include direct supervision for our medication history technician, initial dosing for pharmacy to manage services, and participation in EM educational initiatives through coordination with other MedStar EM pharmacists. -The clinical pharmacist would also work closely with EM providers locally and across the MedStar system through the EM Provider Clinical Practice Council (CPC), in addition to EM Pharmacy CPC, to advance the MedStar emergency medicine practice model.Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree PharmD or an equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required
- PGY-1 or 3 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required
- Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
- RPH - Registered Pharmacist - Pharmacist licensure in the state of Maryland required -
- Board certification required within 1 year of eligibility
