General Summary of Position
MedStar Health islooking foraSpeech Language Pathologistto join
ourteamatMedStar Montgomery Medical Center! For this position, we
require an SLP who already has their Certificate of Clinical
Competence. We cannot accept CFYs.AsaSpeech Language
Pathologist,youwillplan, organize, and conduct individualized
treatment plans to help patients with speech disorders restore
and/or improve communication function. Our SLP studies, evaluates,
and records patients' activities and progress. This position
requires Speech Therapy licensure.Join one of the largest

- Evaluates and plans therapy programs for each patient
assignedas prescribed byphysician. Directs and aids the patients in
therapeutictechniquesappropriate topatient needs.
- Providesaccuratebilling information on the same day as
services. Employs principles of therapeutic communication,
interviewing techniques, problem-solving, and crisis intervention
when performing patient care.
- Handles stressful situations with tact and poise.Strivesto
makeeffective useoftime.
- Records and reports patient progress in consultation with the
referring physician as per department policy.
- Educates patients and familyregardingspeech therapy plan of
care andappropriate homeexercise program and documents education in
patient record.Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Therapy.
- SP-L - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of
Maryland.
- 1-2 years of progressively more responsible job-related
experience preferred.This position has a hiring range of $72,758 -
$130,041Required
