Job Description:
At Ryder, a renowned leader in logistics and transportation,
we're seeking a seasoned Senior Diesel Mechanic to enhance our
dedicated team focused on fleet management and innovative supply
chain solutions. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining
and repairing diesel engines and our diverse fleet, ensuring high
standards of performance and reliability. An ideal candidate will
be a detail-oriented problem solver with substantial experience in
diesel mechanics and a commitment to upholding safety and
efficiency. Perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance
procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and
systems. Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change
brakes, adjust steering systems, and replace worn-out parts. Ensure
that all vehicles meet safety standards and exhibit superior
operational performance. Record and maintain detailed records of
the vehicles serviced and the repairs carried out. Collaborate with
the fleet management team to discuss machine maintenance and work
on improving vehicle functionality. Profound knowledge of diesel
engines and related systems. Ability to handle various tools and
heavy equipment safely and effectively. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and communication
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification. Commercial Driver’s
License (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
