Project Manager – Federal Construction Projects Location:
Greater Washington DC / Northern Virginia Full-Time | On-site (with
some flexibility) About the Company: Our client is a
well-established general contractor with a strong reputation for
delivering high-quality federal, commercial, and institutional
construction projects. With a focus on safety, precision, and
client satisfaction, they’ve built lasting relationships with
government agencies and private sector partners alike. Position
Overview: We are seeking a Project Manager with federal project
experience to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate
will have a solid background managing federal construction
projects, ensuring compliance with government standards, and
overseeing projects from pre-construction through closeout. Key
Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of federal construction
projects (ground-up and renovations) Ensure compliance with federal
regulations, including FAR, USACE, NAVFAC, and other
agency-specific guidelines Coordinate with owners, subcontractors,
and internal teams to meet project schedules and budgets Lead
project meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Oversee project documentation, reporting, and quality control
Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to ensure
timely completion Maintain strong client relationships and
represent the company in a professional manner Qualifications: 5
years of project management experience in federal construction
Proven track record of successfully delivering federal projects on
time and within budget Strong knowledge of federal construction
regulations and procedures (FAR, USACE, NAVFAC, etc.) Experience
with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project closeout
Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or
related field preferred OSHA 30 and current security clearance are
