Type: Full timeJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and
experienced contractor, preferably based in Washington D.C.,
willing to relocate to Washington D.C., to support a major
transition project in the Treasury space. The ideal candidate will
have hands-on experience in Project Management or Program
Management, particularly with risk management. The candidate must
be a self-starter and willing to take on additional
responsibilities related to budget and resource management.Key
Responsibilities:
- Risk Management:
- Identify and manage program/project risks and their mitigation
strategies. Monitor these risks regularly and update the risk
register and Clarity PPM tool as needed.
- Follow up with various teams on the current status of
identified risks and identify new, emerging risks along with
mitigation strategies in coordination with risk owners.
- Create and maintain a risk dashboard for management
presentations.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams regarding
program risks.
- Budget Management:
- Maintain master spreadsheets of staff and contractors to assist
in cost allocations.
- Work with the PMO to prepare budget variance analyses.
- Perform periodic clean-up of stale commitments.
- Resource Management:
- Identify resource needs across teams and assist in preparing
terms of reference and logistics.
- Communicate with external sourcing vendors and schedule
interviews.
- Assist internal teams in onboarding successful candidates.
- Perform additional ad hoc work related to project or program
management.Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project or Program Manager or
Coordinator.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal
skills, both written and verbal, at all organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
